PROPOSED ICPAK OFFICE BLOCK AT KCA UNIVERSITY, RUARAKA, NAIROBI
Located along the Thika Super-highway, this 13 storey high office block graces the Nairobi skyline as one of the best designed building in Ruaraka area. The office block, which is part of a complex of buidlings, is fully serviced with over 200,000L water reserve capacity, rainwater harvesting system, refuse chute, elaborate fire protection mechanism including automatic fire sprinklers in the basement parking floor, fire hose-reels, a dry riser and various Portable Fire Extinguishers. The building has it's grey water seperated from black water for purposes of recycling and re-use. With a challenge of overwhelming quantities of underground water, the building has been installed with a multi-stage storm water evacuation system to handle water from within the basement parking floor, the surface spill-off and even water from beneath the buidling's foundation.
